Frequently Asked Questions
Are the people performing these procedures qualified?
All procedures carried out by Romsey Medical Aesthetics are undertaken by a fully qualified doctor and nurse who are regulated by medical and nursing councils.
Is there a minimum and maximum age for a procedure?
At Romsey Medical Aesthetics there are no upper age limits for treatments, however RMA comply with the legal age limit for dermal fillers & botulinum toxin A which is 18 years of age for legal and safety reason.
How long does it take for Botox™ to take effect?
At RMA we recommend leaving a two week period for anti-wrinkle injections to take full effect. It is worth bearing in-mind that different muscles respond/relax at different rates depending on their size and nerve supply. Allowing the entire two week period is imperative to realise the full potential of the treatment provided.
Do I need to take time off work?
Initially following Botulinum toxin A injections you will experience a very mild inflammatory around the injections sites which settles within 10-30 minutes on average. For dermal fillers a more moderate inflammatory response can be expected for 24-72 hours post procedure, which some customers would prefer to occur during a period on non-work.
A full and frank discussion and consenting process will be completed during every consultation where all of these questions will be fully explored.
Dr Chris, Nurse Emily & their clinic manager Lawrence are the most professional, honest and understanding team I have ever encountered in this industry. I always feel they have my best interest at heart and only perform treatments that would benefit me. I highly recommend them.
I absolutely love Emily’s honesty. I booked a treatment and when I arrived we came to the conclusion it would not give me the effects I would want. It’s so nice to know there are still honest people in the world that look out for customers expectations rather than doing it just for the money. Thank you
Emily and Chris are the only people I would trust with any treatment that I have. I have had Botox with other practitioners in the past and have always been disappointed with the results but with RMA the results have always been fantastic and have lasted a lot longer than before.
I love coming to Emily and Chris’s wonderful aesthetic surgery. It mixes luxury with the professionalism you know you are only going to get from two people that really know their trade. My Botox is the best I’ve had and everyone asks where I get my lips done!! Thank you So much!!!
